UFC White House Post Fight Press Conference (FULL)

This is the full post-fight press conference from the UFC's White House card, and Dana White is fired up. He calls the whole thing a massive success and backs it up with numbers. They doubled the all-time merch record and came in 40 percent over budget in a good way. He says he just got off the phone with David Ellison from Paramount, who was losing his mind because the event blew past everything they expected. In Dana's words, you do not get calls from billionaires flipping out too often.

The scale was nuts. He mentions something like 200,000 people over at the Ellipse across two days. The weather had everyone sweating it all day, then it cleared up and the outdoor setup ended up looking perfect under the lights.

A reporter asked the fighters what it was like competing outside instead of in an arena. Pretty much all of them loved it. One guy said the breeze was really nice. Dana joked he could be the weatherman of Abu Dhabi and be right every time. He also made it clear he is not rushing to do more outdoor shows, because once you are outside there is a whole list of things you cannot control, and he just wants the best experience for the fans.

Not everything was a celebration. Ilia Topuria got busted up and went to the hospital. Dana said he is not a doctor but it looked like a possible broken orbital bone, and his only plan for him right now is to go home, rest, and heal. No talk of the next fight.

And yeah, the president called in during the night. One of the fighters said he was not even planning on answering, but then he saw the caller ID and figured he should probably pick up.
